Excellent Debut Novel

The wanderer represents an outstanding debut novel from an up and coming writer. David describes beautifully the emotions and feelings being felt by a young lost soul in the lifeless world after a devastating virus knocks mankind to its knees.
The raw emotions given to "the boy" by the author is something that the reader can relate to, raising a smile in several places, and even raised a laugh in a couple of places despite the desperate state of affairs. The awkward teenage boy moments are accurate to the point of bringing back my own embarrassing "close encounters".
In short a real page turner that has you from the first chapter, that continues to drag you in to the boys world.

A different road.

In Anderson's first novel, a young man makes his way through a post-apocalyptic world where the moral compass is lost. After years of lonely existance, his encounters with the few survivors provoke his internal conflict between the need for companionship, co-operation and mutual protection, and the fear and ultimately the violence that such an unforgiving environment exposes. Anderson's terse writing style mirrors the stripped-back priorities such a scenario demands as his central protagonist deals with the conflict between 'normality' and his new reality. An excellent first effort!

I love this book! It was a great read. Even during the slow parts the ability of the author to keep it descriptive and captivate you into wanting more and more.
I love post apocalyptic books and this was definitely right there w some of the best! I will definitely keep an eye out for new works from the Author.
