Short, Sexy Read...

While trying to solve the mystery of her favorite Aunt’s disappearance, Lexi finds a leather bound tome whose words have the power to spirit her away to another world. But once she arrives she is forced to put her search for her aunt on hold so she can convince the knights holding her at spear point that she’s no witch. Fortunately their king believes her… he’s decided she’s a celestial maiden—and he’s planning on making her the “willing” sacrifice in a ritual to awaken the kingdom’s champion, the stone warrior.
With Lexi’s reluctant assistance, the stone warrior, Cairn, is soon a hot flesh and blood man. He is disappointed when he finds out Lexi didn’t come to him willingly and promises to help her find her way home. But when he falls in love with her instead he pursues his celestial maiden with the same single-mindedness that he employs to do his king’s battles. The difference is that seducing Lexi is a pleasure and serving his king is his duty, one that chafes more each time he is called. Cairn reaches an impasse eventually. To go against his king would sentence him to an eternity in stone, but he can he continue to be the tool of a tyrant? On the other hand, can he risk disobeying and losing Lexi forever?
Romancing the Stone is a (very) short, sexy read. Nicole Ash writes sizzling sex scenes and I liked how the ending tied up all the loose ends and gave us a HEA. It is a little expensive for the length, but the story is well written and entertaining. Be warned, though—it says 103 three pages but a big chunk of that is excerpts from other books.

Close but no cigar

This story had some great ideas and elements, be there was no character development, no explanations, and almost no dialog between the characters. Plus the ending was a hodge lodge of thrown together sappiness. I wouldn't recommend it.

A light read & laugh

Not sure if this was suppose to be a comedy or not, light reading but you need to engage your imagination a lot to make any sense of it.
