Miss Lynn's Books&More gave it 5 Stars! This was such a soul searching book and Ms. Patrick wrote it with just the right amount of drama, and romance to keep the readers attention. The characters stand out and blend well together. As Carson and Maggie share their faith and depend on God for their strength to see through the storms, we also see family life, how little things can either bind a family closer together or drive them apart. This is a book that will keep your attention from the beginning to the end and leave you wanting more adventures in the life of Carson and Maggie. Recommended for all readers of the Sweet Romance Genre.

Carson and Maggie

Reservations for Two is a work of fiction, but the characters were so real!! Maggie was married for many years to a pastor, now she's alone and has just retired. She went back to where she and her late husband spent their honeymoon to remember and to start a new life. She meets Carson, who is also alone. This is their story, but it's so much more!!
I know Maggie's daughter, seriously, I work with her. She has struggled with her mom's new love, as does Maggie's daughter in Reservations for Two. I've sat with my friend and listened to her talk about her dad and how much she misses him and I hear anger at her mom's new love, I've helped dry her tears.
Carson's daughter, Maggie's daughter and son, the grandchildren, they all play a part in Maggie and Carson's story. This is a romance, but it's also a story about healing, family and friends. I loved it!
By the last page I was in tears, because I didn't want the book to end! I didn't want to say goodbye to Maggie, Carson and their families and friends. Anne, any chance of a series based around the inn?

This is a book about 2 people in their 60's that find love again after their spouses have passed away. I loved reading this book. It is easy to read because there isn't any melodrama, explicit sex, or violence. You know the people in this book, from the nosey inn keeper Joann to all of the grandchildren that obviously love their grandparents. Maybe I liked this book so much because I identify with Maggie since I am in the same age group. But it is more than that. If you like to read about how God does work, even if you don't see it all of the time then this book is for you. It doesn't preach religion so much as it shows you how real people of faith live their daily lives. We should all have the spunk of Maggie!! Carson is a hoot, you will fall in love with him as Maggie did. This book had all 3 of the components that I look for in a book...made me think, laugh, and shed a few tears. I loved every word and did not want this book to end. I hope you feel the same way when you read it.

Nice to read about older folks for a change!

This was a great story, easy to read & enjoy, except for the editing errors. I proof for other authors so the errors stand out glaringly to me, but because I proof, I am able to see what conversation should be attributed to which character. I have found this to be consistent with e-books and that is sad.
