Good read, if you can overlook a lot!!!

I will most likely add a star to this review, as I have yet to even finish the book! I could not, however, continue reading until I asked the question....does anyone else realize that this author knows absolutely NOTHING about college football? If you are going to make your hero a college football star get your facts straight. College Football games in every division take place on Saturdays from September to early December! Bowl games occur from mid/late December up to the Championship game in early January (this year January 7th RTR)! Occasionally, maybe once a season, a team will play on a Thursday or Friday night. During the regular season games rarely, if ever, are played on Tuesdays or Wednesdays! Games are NEVER played during the Winter and Spring! I admit that it is actually difficult at times to decide what time during a college year the book is taking place? But, I believe, most of the story develops during the Winter/Spring semester? It's frustrating, really frustrating, to want to like a book; to enjoy certain characters; anticipate the development of a romance; and then find yourself pulled out of the story because of glaring mistakes and inconsistencies! UGH! I will complete the book anyway, but I am honestly tempted to rewrite the entire story for my own benefit because the characters deserve better and frankly, as readers, so do you and I!
OK, just finished the book! If possible, I would add a half star! While I enjoyed watching Zander and Sedona's romance develop, I just cannot get past the technical discrepancies in the novel. Bad editing? Maybe. But, unless the author's husband mistook her questions for inquiries about Futbol/Soccor, there is zero excuse for so misrepresenting the hero's "day job" as a college football quarterback! The only truism? Baylor would most likely destroy Leigh's make-believe team in the "Championship."
I know, I know it's a romance novel! What do I love? Zander! He is a terrific hero! Really, I hope my two young daughters find a boy exactly like him! He truly has to be the most patient young man around. I respect Sedona and like her on the whole. She is incredibly self-absorbed though, and I am not sure the loss in her past really supports her level of emotional disregard in the end. Yes, she comes around, and I appreciate the HEA, but she is damn lucky in her hero!
I also liked the epilogue from Keiran's POV. Although, I feel it was too short and the "cliffhanger" was not really a surprise, at all. I imagine, Leigh is setting up a sequel (at least). I hope she is not suggesting a "love triangle" stress in a follow-up because that would certainly destroy the strength and beauty of Sedona and Keiran's friendship as well as undermining Keiran's as a strong hero in his own right.
Obviously, I really liked the premise and characters in this book or i would notnhave finished the book, nor written my first ever Amazon review. I was hoping to give a 4 star rating, but Sedona let me down near the end and her "revelation" was helped along both by Zander's love and understanding and the unforeseen circumstance. Also, and finally, know your facts when a profession, sport, talent, etc is a major aspect of your story!! Bottomline!

love finds you in weird ways

I loved Sedona and Zander's story, of course I love any romance story that doesn't have a cliffhanger. What made the book fabulous were the quirky lines between the characters especially between Zander and his buddies. "Yes, she is. And if you don't stop staring at her fine-ness, I'm going to clobber all of you side by side into the ground." I also love when Sedona explains why she does PDA it really made my heart mealt. "I'm proud to have you as my boyfriend Zander. I think that gives me the right to kiss you or hug you or hold you in public. It's about time people get used to that." I really can't wait to see if the author has any more books come out I truly enjoyed this book a lot.

Love Unexpected

I am a sucker for a good romance! Sedona Is a very driven young lady who has her life planned out. She knows what she wants and has the "Rules" to help her get there. Focus on school, get through clinicals, go to bed at a decent hour and stick with the plan. Boyfriends are not in the plan they are only a distraction that is not needed, or is it? Zander is a jock, his parents are well known and the media loves to know all about his social life. That is as far from the plan as you can get, but sometimes it's the things you do not plan that show you what you want isn't always what you need. Anne's story shows us that life does not always go the way you expect it to, people are not always what they seem and love may find you when you least expect it. If you enjoy a good romance novel then introduce yourself to Sedona and Zander! I really hope there will be a second book for a character I would love to know a little more about but only time will tell. ;) Check this one out
